Universeum is a large science discovery centre and a zoo located next to the Liseberg amusement park and it also contains a planetarium. Universeum contains a large aquarium and a miniature rainforest inhabited by snakes, frogs, spiders, and apes, among others. The aquarium is home to many species of fish, such as sharks and piranhas. The Universeum is open daily year round.
