Restaurants in Mount Everest serve usually traditional Sherpa dishes. There is no actual nightlife in the area. The local inhabitants, Sherpas, usually understand some English.
Climate. The Everest region has cold and dry winters and warm, misty summers. The best times to visit the area are from March to May and from September to November when the weather is clear, the temperature is moderate, and there is not too much snow to prevent trekking. Sagarmatha National Park shows its best side in the summertime when its mountainous nature comes into full bloom.
Safety. The Everest region, Khumbu is considered one of the rural areas in Nepal that are safe for tourists. However, Mount Everest is a very difficult and dangerous mountain to climb, and the high altitudes and unpredictable weather can be fatal for unprepared visitors.
