How to get there. Faroe islands are best reached through Vagar Airport, which is the only airport on the Faeroes, offering flights to Faroe islands mainly from Scandinavian countries and United Kingdom. In addition to airways, Faeroe Islands are also reachable by car ferry from Denmark, Norway, Scotland and Iceland. There are several ports available for private yachts as well. There are rental cars in Faroe Islands available for moving around on the islands, and you can find also some buses and taxis on the islands. Moving between the islands is made possible by sub-sea tunnels (with tolls) and ferries, and there is a bridge connecting the two main islands of the Faroes, Streymoy and Eysturoy.
