Trekking in Swedish Lapland



The diversivied landscape with alpine mountains, glaciers, tundra, lakes, valleys, forests and beautiful archipelago make Swedish Lapland an ideal destination for trekking. There are numerous well -marked trekking trails in Swedish Lapland. The famous Kungsleden is a 500 km long trail crossing the mountains of Lapland. The trek starts from Abisko National Park and passes through the magnificent Kebnekaise and the Padjenta National Park. The Kungsleden leads to Hemavan ski resort in southern Lapland. Here you can also admire the spectacular Norhern Lights. There are small huts along the route for overnight accommodation. Guided trekking tours are widely available in Swedish Lapland. Trekking is a year-round activity in Swedish Lapland.
