Travel and flights to Kuusamo

Kuusamo has a small airport that receives daily flights to Kuusamo from Helsinki, the main international airport of Finland. There are also charter flights to Kuusamo from the UK and Netherlands, as well as several daily flights from Helsinki during the winter season. There are frequent bus shuttles to Ruka from the airport. You can also travel to Kuusamo by bus from the towns of Oulu, Rovaniemi and Kajaani in northern Finland, all of which have several daily buses to Kuusamo. Trains from Helsinki to Oulu are well available. Travelling to Kuusamo by car is easy from the south via the highway 5, although the distance between Kuusamo and Helsinki is 800 km.
