There are numerous excellent museums in Gothenburg. Visit for example the Sjöfarthistoriska Museet which exhibits the fishing industry, the ships and the fascinating maritime history of Göteborg. The Naturhistoriska Museet has an impressive collection of wildlife from all over the world. If you are interested in art, head for the Konstmuseet which has an impressive collection of paintings by famous masters such as Van Gogh, Rubens and Rembrandt. The Röhsska Museum of Design and Decorative art has a good collection of Swedish and European handicrafts and artifacts from all over the world.
