Practical information for your trip to Lake Como
Located in Lombardy, northern Italy, Lake Como is best reached through the airports of Milan, but also other alternatives for travelling and flights to Lake Como are available. Touring on the shores of the lake is easy thanks to the road circling the lake, in addition to which there is also a local railway running along the eastern shore of the lake.

If you want to test the waterways, you can easily travel between the main towns on the shores of the lake also by ferry. Local buses or car rental near Lake Como are other alternatives for touring.
Climate in Lake Como region is pleasantly mild with warm summers. Average monthly high temperatures during the summer (June-August) range from 25 to 30°C, but also winters with temperatures of slightly under 10°C are quite tolerable. Overall, Lake Como is at its best between April and October, which is also the peak season for tourism in the area, but the scenic landscapes and charming villas of the area are available anytime.
