Hawaii has an enjoyable tropical climate with warm temperatures available throughout the year. Annual rainfall in Hawaii is quite high, but unlike many other tropical holiday destinations, it is free from any wet seasons. Even better, hurricanes are rarer in Hawaii than in many other tropical island destinations. If you want to get the most out of the sunshine, come to Hawaii in summer (between May and October), but basically Hawaii is ready to welcome you anytime of the year.Getting there. Hawaii is easily reachable by air, with most flights to Hawaii coming from the US mainland. There are internal flights available for moving around in Hawaii, provided by four different airline companies. If you want to go island hopping, ferries are also a good way to move around between the Hawaiian Islands. The best ferry connections are found between the islands of Oahu and Maui, which are connected to each other with daily ferries. Talking of inner island transport, these two islands (especially Oahu) are also the ones with best public transport systems available. Car rental in Hawaii is available on all main islands. Scooters are also a good way to get around on the islands.
Safety. Holiday islands in the sun without slums and big city problems, the Hawaiian Islands are generally safe travel destinations. However, mass tourism has left its mark on these originally peaceful islands, and some areas of Hawaii have been started to be considered not that safe, especially after dark, when robberies in Hawaii generally take place.
