Diving in Cape Verde

Located 500 km off the African west coast, Cape Verde enjoys the warm, turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The islands are a popular place for diving, particularly so as the marine life around Cape Verde is rich, and coral reefs and exciting underwater formations are common sights in the underwater world of Cape Verde. Dive sites in Cape Verde are found in all islands, but best services for equipment rental and guiding are found in the island of Sal, where especially Santa Maria offers enjoyable services for diving in Cape Verde's Atlantic waters. Additionally you can find some dive centers also in Santiago (Praia and Tarrafal). The most popular place for snorkeling in Cape Verde is Murdeira Bay, which is found in Sal Island.
