Circum Baikal Railway



The Circum Baikal railway line, which goes around lake Baikal is an astonishing route for touring in Siberia. the railway line was built in the beginning of the 19th century to be a continuation of the famous Trans-Siberia railway. Today the railway line, which starts in Slyudyanka (or Kultuk), and ends in Port Baikal and is used mainly for sightseeing. The Circum Baikal Railway goes past tunnels and bridges and stunning landscapes. The trip usually takes approximately 5 hours.
