Biking in Åland
Thanks to the small size, flat geography, and good road network of the islands, Åland is a suitable destination for easy biking. It is best suitable to short trips, or for longer trips to bikers, who want to spend only a short time of the day on saddle. Most people, who go biketouring in Åland, connect also ferry sections to their tour. This is almost a necessity if you want to see the quiet, but interesting outer islands of the archipelago, which are reachable only by water. Overall, roads in Aland are good, and very suitable for biking. In case you don't want to bring your own bike, rental bikes are available in Mariehamn.
