The scenic landscapes of Lausanne with Lake Geneva, vineyards and hills are best explored by biking. There is an excellent network of paths and bicycle lanes around the city. Try for example the route from Lausanne to Vevey passing through vineyards and spectacular views over the Swiss Alps and Lake Geneva. Rental bikes and maps are widely available in Lausanne.
